About this opportunity

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $10,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will install light-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in rural communities. The purpose of the Rural Electric Vehicle Charging 2.0 (REV 2.0) Solicitation is to: · Provide convenient, reliable charging for rural residents and people traveling through rural communities. · Increase EV adoption in rural areas, especially in low-income or disadvantaged communities. · Demonstrate replicable and scalable business and technology models that can drive EV charging stations to serve rural EV drivers.

Funding geography: Ineligible applicants include investor-owned utilities.

Funding instrument: Grant. Issuing jurisdiction: California. This is not a geographic eligibility determination.
