About this opportunity

The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the opportunity for local educational agencies (LEAs) to apply for the Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program grant for fiscal years 2024–2027. These federal funds are made available to support all efforts to ensure that homeless children and youth have equal access to the same free appropriate public education, including public preschool education, as provided to other children and youth.

Funding geography: LEAs which include local school districts and direct-funded charter schools to participate in the federally funded EHCY Grant Program.
